Lighthouse gets a paint job |
It's that time of year. As the sun comes out and the smell of barbecues fills the air, many people are reach-ing for the paintbrush to smarten up the front door or window frames.
For them, that simply means a step ladder, a few litres of undercoat and gloss and a couple of hours of toil.
But this maintenance job will involve five weeks work and more than 360 litres of paint as workers spruce up the 85ft tower of Happisburgh's landmark lighthouse. |

Visit the oldest working light on the Norfolk Coast and the only independently operated lighthouse in the UK.
